Just about everytime time i start up a game, someone joins who is either betraying people, acting stupid, or racist. So if you could please tell me how to ban i will be appreciative.

First of all you have to right click on your halo shortcut and edit the target so that it looks something like this: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -console the drive letter and the folders can be different depending on the folder you installed halo into, but the -console and the quotes and space and stuff have to be the same. That only activates the console which allows you to ban people. Now to ban or kick people, open Halo using the shortcut and when in the game press the tilda or "~" key. Then type sv_players and a list of players should so up with a number next to them. So to ban or kick people you type sv_ban (Player #) or sv_kick (Player #). Hope that makes sense...

I think it's easier the way it is. You don't actually have to use the player's index number, you can just type sv_ban playername, but you have to spell their name correctly right down to the letter, including spaces. The only times I ban with the index number is for people who have weird names with all the funky characters like § and ó and stuff like that.

It's easier with the index number for me. Just hit tab in the console, and it will show you all of the commands.
