on the filefront site, once you download a map, where do you put it/

i know that this should be obvious, but i just can't figure it out.

Go to the directory where you installed the game, and then copy the map you downloaded and paste it in the map folder. Don't mix up Halo PC with Halo custom edition.

if you didn't change where you installed the game, then you should copy the map to C:\programfiles\microsoftgames\halo\maps if you cant find it try a windows search for 'maps'

actually, how do you play it from then on? i tried halo and ce.

Using modded Halo maps (there can't be new maps in regular PC) is the same as regular maps; just back up your old map, and then replace it with your new one. In Custom Edition, you should see your new map when selecting your map in the server creation screen; if you don't, either it doesn't register with the game, or it's a Single Player map, in which case you'll need to use the console.
