I'd like to play online multiplayer with an older version of Halo with my buddies but the game doesn't let you go on without updating, is there any way to bypass the update screen and start, say a version 1.0 server? Is there maybe a way to make the game think my version is up to date so I can skip the version check?

No. And if there were, it would not be legal anyway.

Agreed. This is what I thought when I first read it, but I decided not to comment. What reason could you want for not updating? The whole CD needs to be inserted thing. Why the lack of CD? A crack. Cracks are illegal. BUT we shouldn't be pointing fingers and saying "lol h4xorz". He may well have a perfectly legit reason. Why don't you want to update Kalashnikahn?
