First of all, Hi I'm new to Halo modding(I'm used to the .ini's, .vxl's, .shp's and .mix's of the C&C series:))I recently got HMT and I want to mod a few maps. I haven't had any problems with most of the weapons except for one... I want to give the Banshee a laser like seen on the case of the box. After about a day of searching tutorials and forums I need help with this one...

On the cover of the box? Urh those are plasma tracers, it just looks slightly different ingame.

what u can do is make it shoot really fast maybe, tho turning makes it look wierd.

Look up a PMI tutorial on Google, and PMI in a sentinal. From that, take the sentinal weapon and replace it on the banshee (btw, u may only get one beam, im not sure if the banshee considers it as two different firing mechanisms. Then, to top it off, change the color to blue.

OMG that sounds really cool. *Sigh* I wish I was creative. Anyway, think I'm gonna try that.

Would be nice, sean... Plus if you want like a gravity banshee, you could just rebuild a map with the sentinel projectile built in and then meta swap the projectiles for banshee.

Wait, do you only have trial? cuz then you cant PMI, unfortunately. you can still use the continous shot. and have the speed of the shot reaaaaalllly FAST! that way, when you turn, it looks more natural.

It wasn't that bad. He's just saying, make ROF very high, and projectile speed very high also, so it's a beam with natural turning. Only problem I see is overpowering, unless you make each projectile 1 damage or something, but it will be very indefinite due to the speed of firing and the speed of the projectiles.

Guess how the sentinel projectile works. =p

Yeah, high R/s, then do some maths to work out how much damage you want to inflict per second, ie, 100r/s, you want to inflict 25 damage per second of fire, so the damage would be 0.25.

Now, I'm kinda new at modding myself, but I have to agree. It seems the easies thing to do would be to adust the ROF to some huge-ass number.
