Well, this thead is highly n00bish I think...but I found no solution so I ask here:
You know, someone makes a machinima on a machinima map....machinima maps have multiple bipeds...H2 chief...honor guard elite...grunts...hunters...whatever. And the person who makes this machnima can control those bipeds...and this is the problem. With what devmode command? Can anyone help? And if its not a big thing, I need every biped control command...:(
On your icon, under target, add " -console -devmode" to the end, without the "s, to give something like:
"C:/Program files/Microsoft Games/Halo/Halo.exe" -console -devmode
Then start the game. Open the machimania map in a LAN game. Now when ingame, press the ` key to open the console. You'll know when purple letters appears the word "halo(". So now you've got this, simply type in "cheat_bump_possession 1" without the "s. Now run into one of the bipeds and you will be able to control it as per a normal character. To turn it off simply open the console again and type "cheat_bump_possession 0". This will lock you to your current biped.
Also, it's not always the ` key. On some keyboards, it's the ~ key.
;) Nice to see someone notices. They just annoy me so much when I see so many servers saying "RPG lol" or "go red4roleplayrofl", that's what I've ended up calling them, both out loud and typing. Have done for ages. Also, to make this post constructive and topic relevant;
English keyboard settings = ` American keyboard settings = ~ No idea for Hungarian. Sorry.
isnt it just both? ` and ~ are the same button, just the tilde needs the shift key to access.
No, on English keyboards at least, ` is located above the TAB key, and ~ is located above #. Having said that, I have no idea about the layout of other keyboards.
I know how to open up dev console...Im not completely stupid :D its § for me...(shift+0) Thanks for the help.
And if its not a too big request, can anyone give me a good machinima map? Im out of ideas...I just need a machinima map with a nice number of bipeds....good bipeds. :D
Go to hce.halomaps.org and search the "Maps for machinima" section.
lol I was blind to not spot that....thanks :D
