I'm trying to run my own dedicated Halo server because I'm on a nice T1 connection. The thing is that I can't see my own server whenever I'm getting on halo to play. Is there a way that I can get my dedicated server's ip address so I can get people to play with direct ip connect? I'm using dedicated server 1.02. I think I might know what my ip address is but I wouldn't know the port number. So is there a command to type in to get the ip address. Any help appreciated.

Well I'm using a wireless router. The computer that I'm using to run the dedicated server is my desktop which is actually wired to the wireless router. I've also updated dedicated server to 1.07 hoping that would make a difference but still no luck.

Wireless can't host. Read the post in the errors section.

both programs are running on the same computer, i do have a firewall (linksys wrt45g)

i have this problem when i run a streaming radio station..i just need to know how to connect to my own server(s) on my own network...

For the love of god people, stop resurrecting threads.

You working via Wifi, if so, look above.

Also I don't think you can connect to your own dedicated server. Not sure though.

sorry for resurrecting an old thread..i spent hours trying to find a workaround to get on my own but havent had any luck...everything is wired...and i also noticed that when i have the server running, i cant connet to any other servers in halo...which strikes me as odd...*shrug* i dunno...might just give this up and stick with the one that comes with the game :P

Your ports are conflicting with Halo's. Set the dedi to run on 2312 or something.
