ok heres my problem when i try to do skining in halo i can olny edit a few skins like the sniper rifel,pistol,asult rifel.and that is pretty much it.but when i try and edit a nother skin like the hog skin i get a messge that says that the texture smaller then the 1 i edited and i made shure that i saved the textur at the right size and everthing:bawl:so if any 1 can help me or has the same prob and fixed i would be so grateful:bows: thank you P.S iam useing DXTBmp and HMT,Gimp

i also for got to say that i generate 3 derffent file types DDS,BMP,(and a new dds file)DDS

Just hit yes. This happens all the time when I try to add skins. Nothing bad has ever happened.
i do hit yes and when i go in game the shaders R all F-up and they get a black shade on top of them when u are far away form a skined lets say a skined hog
I did the same thing but I soon figured them out. The new file has to be the same size as the original file. Normally when this happens, as in Zams case, it's only a few pixels larger or smaller. But when its, for example, 512x512 and the original file was 256x256, then you are going to have some problems. The in game mip-mapping causes this alot. I'd only suggest to keep the new file the same size as the original.
