Well, the title pretty much explains it. I am using Halo Map tools 3.0, and when I extract the model, the texture doesn't match with the model.:( Could someone help, I really want to get the textures without too much hassle! Oh yeah... I'm new here... :naughty:
The textures are separate in Halo PC, unless you mean PMI.
In PC, textures are in bitmaps section. Model is supposed to be untextured. You edit that, then if necessary, you edit the skin.
I know how to extract the textures fine :) ,but when I apply it to the model the texture won't fit right. :(
Well, if you're using HMT v3.0, I advise downloading the latest version, which is 3.5.
Listen to doompig, he knows what he is talking about. HMT is really not the best thing to use. Just get some other software and modify the existing models of Halo pc (aka trial modding) The same should be done for the textures, which as doompig mentioned, are also part of the bitmaps. Then you swap or patch your textured models with the original ones via ppf-o-matic or hex workshop. If you have done this correctly, the skins should fit properly.
Thanks! :) I'm trying to get them textured in gmax though... I'll look into those things you mentioned once I get home (the network is all macintoshes here)
I'm actually trying to extract the models to make a type of machinima thing not using the halo game (No environments that I can edit without downloading more stuff and taking weeks to figure out how it works)
You have Gmax, so just use the existing models (or your custom ones if you wish) and the textures you decide to apply via Gmax material editor.
Applying the textures is no problem, but they won't fit right...
