Im making a deathisland style map, but I have no idea how to make any good textures. I got the terrain set up in gmax, but no textures. Can anyone help me?

Do you want tutorials or texture downloads? Also, try playing around with the default Halo textures, most of 'em are pretty good.

Yes, they are if you're making a game for the early 21st century... or a blind man. I'm willing to make you some textures. Email: jackle12001 at gmail dot com (Censored to reduce spam) Lucky I'm in a good mood. ;)

I looked at the textures that came with HEK, but none of them really work. I just need something that goes from grass to beach. Im trying to make it Death Island style cliffs and texture.

Again, send me an email. I can make some nice textures. Ask the members of HFMT.

Jackle;4336916Yes, they are if you're making a map/mod for the early 21st century rendering engine which falls over and dies with anything that looks remotely high tri/res.

Which we are.

What, Jackle, texturing? Don't be ridiculous. =p

Your best bet for grass to beach would be place some vegetation and rocks in the way.

How would you make a room that is not connected to the main part of the map? Attach it? or a different box connected to the frame? I like the rock cliffs, but they somewhat remind me of the ones from Valkryie RC2.

So like, a room within a mountain? Inverted box, attached to the main geometry.

Yea. It does not need to be connected with anything? Just by itself, but connected to the level?

Editable poly, select the appropriate polys, then attach to the main geometry. This means it still adheres to Blam!'s sealed world rules.
