on the side of a warthog i put an image but on the other side i get the same image but it is backwards and in a mirror image form. I need to correct this so it is the same on both sides.
Wait, are you saying you textured half of a warthog then copy+pasted that to the side? If you want to fix the backwards side, you use the Gimp (not sure if you can do it in paint, but you should be able to) and flip the image that is backwards 180 degrees.
Actually, you can't fix this. I'm sorry to say it. You put the image on one side, but actually the warthog takes that side and flips it for the other side of the model. So, really, there's no way to undo it. I'm sorry.
oh shoot, i was gonna put it on halo files but people will probably get crabby because i did use paint for the color and the image on one side will be backwards. maybe ill just keep it to myself, i still love it:)
oh and noxstant the program im using only shows one side and automatically textures the other side based on what you've done
Well, if you used the Gimp, unwrapped the Warthog, and saved the texture as a .tif, you could edit the entire thing at once. Instead of unwrapping, you could just get the texture for the original Warthog and paste yours new overall texture overtop of it. That is the GIMP, as dumb as the name sounds, is a significantly epic program.
ill have a look at it, i might be back with more questions
do i have to unwrap it myself? how?
You do not have to unwrap it, you could just edit the exisiting warthog texture or design yours over top of it. But if you would rather unwrap, just let me know.
if i dindt unwrap it id probably have the same problem i started out with. so how do you unwrap? btw does unwrapping allow me to edit both sides differently?
