Okay, so besides CE what modding tools do you reccomend? I can't use CE, since I'm too cheap to get the full Halo. I might though, because I'm saving up for a tablet, and I pretty much have more than enough. Any leftover money goes to the "Halo PC Fund." For the actual effects and so on, I use HMT v3.5 of course. For models, I use the program iClone 3DXchange. So, any reccomendations? I'm especially open to modeling programs. :D

Well for a modeling program, theres gmax... then you can use sparkedit and HHT if you use a sparkify mod on bloodgulch first (use the unsparkify .ppf to undo it before testing. Found on filefront.com. Search for sparkify I think.)

You can also use 3ds max which is the professional version of of gmax, it costs quite a bit though but I prefer it too Gmax. also CE is not a modding tool, its a game which allows you to play custom maps.

Also theres blender, lightwave, milkshape and Maya. Those would be the most popular 3d Modeling programms available, there are more but I'm too azy to list them all.

Well I'd say that gmax is the 2nd most used one for CE modeling... wouldn't you? 3ds is probably 1st (cuz it gives the best overall performance, costs quite a pretty penny though...)

maybe maya is the 2nd most wildly used, but yeah 50% of the mappers/modelers at h2vista.net use 3ds max

I'd love to check out all their licenses with Autodesk. =p

Modeling is really pretty much Gmax, unless you want a very distorted pipeline.

GMax, got it. I'll go grab it. The program I'm using right now sn't working too well. 50-55 of the items and features are only in the full, and it really costs a buttload of money.

What game are you modding? Halo PC, Halo Custom Edition, Halo Trial? I think a lot of the tools are universal for all of them.

He's modding Trial. Illiterate much? I believe that many people actually prefer Misfit Modeler for Halo PC(Not CE) models. Btw, get the tablet, you will not regret it. I use a tablet for all my art, which should explain quite a lot for those who know me.
