Is there a way to spawn NPC AI (human/covanet live models) in-game?
Not as far as I'm aware. However, it is possible to convert CE maps into PC, but that takes a lot of time and effort.
Oh wait, theres a way. You can PMI your bipeds and then overwrite scenery meta tags. This will require some advanced knowledge of HMT though.
well i read somewhere on the gamespot fourms this guy was spawning MCs from multiplayer but he said he cant get them to do anything (this was ingame) look there to spawn em but they wont move
Holy Cow! If they don't move then thats just a projectile dummy! Thats dumb. But wait. Were you talking about Halo PC or Halo CE?
I assume he's talking about PC, otherwise it'd be quite obvious in Sapien. Animeafan162a, if you want to do to it easily, you need the HEK, CE, and the HEK+. Then you'll need to decompile a map file, and load the scenario in Sapien. Look up Aztec's and SRG's AI spawning tutorial, and use that to place the AI in Sapien. Then download the CE/PC Converter, and convert it back to PC format. Yeah, I used to love spawning countless MCs and blowing them up with all manner of ridiculously over-powered weapons. Now all that seems kinda lame...
I know about Halo PC. Select the biped you want to spawn in Halo Map Tools, suppose a Grunt. Look at the weird hex number that comes up as Meta number. (Located between the Save Meta and Insert Meta buttons)Copy that meta and select the projectile tag you want to spawn it with. Suppose the pistol's bullet, that wud be pistol\bullet. Select that and paste the Grunt's meta over its own. Then save and open up Halo. Fire your pistol and there comes the Grunt.
Yeah, but those mods get really boring, unless you're testing new projectiles (which can be quite fun if you make some decent projectiles). Have you noticed that we've responded to his thread (and hijacked) but he has never replied? Really ungrateful.
He didnt even notice, I suppose.
