How would I add glow to a weapon, like a lightsaber blade?
I've never messed around with shaders much, but I'd imagine you need a semi-transparent (translucent in english?) opacity map, and some sort of setting in the shader tag that enables glow.
What's an opacity map? O_o
Ur, alpha channel, from black to white, white being completely opaque, black being completely transparent, and greys representing various levels of semi-transparency.
Is there a tutorial on this somewhere?
