I have a perfectly legit version of Halo 1, and when I got it back from my friends, there was a big scratch all the way around the disc. Is there any way I can fix it, or do I just have to get a new one?

I would say try a disc doctor. The disc doctor is $20 but I found it to be worth every cent. Also, if you look on MS's support page they may send you a new CD for $10 with proof of purchase.

Also, give your friend the boot. And never, ever, let him touch a fabled Halo 3 disk. If one is scratched, teh first seal of the apocolypse opens.

Yeah, if the Halo 3 disc gets damaged, the Internet will go permanently offline. It's that important.

Seriously, though, a DiscDoctor is the way to go. Those things work miracles.

Yeah. If they don't have(another sign of the apocolypse) then you can get it off of e-bay.
