Error when trying to Halo(pc), need help -1 reply

I haven't played this game in a while but now i feel like playing it, When i start the game it says that there is an error. The error message is: "Cannot allocate required memory. Some other application has loaded where halo needs to be located." Whats that mean, i wanna play this game again but i cant... some one help plz. I have tried uninstalling it, then re-installing it I have removed some programs that took up lots of memory, but its not working. Someone please help

1. Are you installing it to the 'default" folder?

2. What are the Specs for your computer? halo "says" it needs;

-Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP - 128 Mb Of RAm -Processor 733 MHz -Hard Drive 1.2 GB -Video Card 32Mb /3d T&l Capatible -Other 8x CD, Sound Card & Speakers/Headphones -Online/Multiplayer Requirements 56.6 Modem or LAN

Default folder? 2. I have played this game on my computer lots of times, but recently i installed a new video card... dunno if that does anything. But yeah i have uninstalled it and rei-installed it but nothing. So if you could tell me what i do with the "default computer"

You need more memory(ram) or you need to shut down all unessary programs. What are the specfiactions of your system?
