When I go to the main menu and select multiplayer it tends to crash either there or when I play for a minute. YES,my computer is good for it,the only hardware changes I have made to it is a new 256mb Video Card

Try the most common solutions: 1. updating you're drivers 2. Do a virus scan 3. Defrag your HDD 4. Post you're specific system specs, like your RAM, CPU, and video card.

Also: Try a fresh reinstall of the game

Also, did it work before? And when it crashes, what happens exactly?

Im sure my drivers are updated. Just recently did a virus scan but on the last few files the power when out... I also defragged. Specs (my comp is the worst at gaming) HP Windows Xp Media Center Edition Service Pack 2 Pentium 4 3.00ghz 1 gig ram ATI RADEON X1550 Video card (how long will this card last me until I need another) For the problem, When I join the game or when I get to the loading screen for multiplayer it will crash with about the last 7 seconds of sound looping. I also reinstalled the game. Do you need anything else?

Try running in safemode, by either adding the -safemode CLP to the .exe or holding the CTRL key when starting the program.
