i just got halo2 and it came with the free 2 month trial of xbox live. I set it up and it works, i kan get on xbox live and add friends n stuff. But so far i've had it for two days and i havent been able to play a single game with anyone. Everytime i try to join a party or someonbe tries to join mine, there is a message that says "You cannot join this party because we are having networking problems. Sorry about that."- somehting like that. I don't know why, but it happens with my other games too. Can someone pleanse tell me what the problem iz. Thanx

The 2 month free trial could be the problem...

Why would the trial be a problem?, if it hasn't run out yet, then it should have no effect, I am using the trial right now and I have no problems.

I bet it is the 2 month free trial, because i have had the same problem, and I will be getting the 12 month subscription soon and will post back to see if it worked

well i am having this same problem, i have a 12 month subscription and this issue only happens with one of my friends... all of the others work, but if i am the leader of a party, he cannot join, and if he is the leader i cannot join him. but if one someone else is the head of a party, we can both join their party. But again, if he or i is the head of the party, i get the error message... it is really iratating....

fixed it... if you are using a router, this is the fix for it, if your not, then i dont know what is wrong....

all i did is: 1. find you xbox's IP address 2. go to your router's web utility 3. go to the port forwarding section (for linksys: Applications & Gaming) 4. forward these ports to you xbox's IP address: UPD 88 TCP 3074 UPD 3074 ps* there should be a section to select either TCP or UPD and a seperate section to enter the numbers, you will need two slots on the list, one for the UPD 88 and another for the other two...
