Hi I just got Halo 2 and I got all the way to the end of the first Arbiter Level (I think the level is called "the Arbiter" but I sorta forgot) and then I see the loading screen for the next level. After about 3 the loading screen kinda freezes up. Then nothing happens for 30 minutes or so. So i try to close it but my computer remains frozen so i have to force shutdown it.

Please help I wanna play it finish it so badly.

Knowing what your system specs are would help.

Processor, video card, RAM, operating system, etc...

Anything less less than 512 MB of RAM is unacceptable for the game. Kind of funny, because I ran the crysis demo better than H2V. Tells you about the result of how crappy a xbox port could be done by by a team of devs from MS. I hear now that they are dropping support for the game.

For starters my computer was made by my father and it was made a quite a while back so it has some pretty old stuff (except vista of course)

heres some of the specs which i could get : Intel Pentium 4 Processor 1022MB RAM Radeon 9800 Pro video card Windows Vista Home Premium 80 GB hard drive

I know my computer is sorta crappy but hey it can sorta play halo 2 until it gets to the part where it freezes.

It doesn't meet the minimum system requirements of the game. You need a X700 for ATI cards at least for the game.

Urh not. I forgot if 9800 PRO was AGP slot or PCI, but you're out of luck trying to find a card that is compatible with either card slots that is decent for modern games.

Hello, I have the same problem as Saidragon. I can play Halo 2 on xp up to the point where the arbiter level is being loaded and then it stops and the pc freezes. Does anyone have a solution for this issue??? XP Pro sp3 160gb hdd 1024mb ram ati 200 xpress series DX 9 everything is up to date.. Somebody suggested a tool called 'Process monitor', first load halo 2, than go to main screen and then load process monitor, then return to halo and choose 'the arbiter level', close P M and then the problem should be bypassed. This suggestion worked for a little bit, the only thing I could see is the cutscene of 'the arbiter level' and then the pc freezes again, and every other attempt failed. So I'm searching for some other solutions on the net and thats why I came across this topic on this site... Can anybody help me or provide me some clues to aid my problem? Best regards Carlo
