Hey guys new here looking for help. Trying to play Halo combat evolved on my pc and during multiplay the game wil either freeze on me or the computer will automaticly restart in the middle of a match:bawl: Any Ideas? I have a ADM Athlon XP 2600+ 2.08 GHZ 256mb ram my video card is Radeon 7000

Sounds like your RAM is overheating either that or anything else over heating. Blow away any dust thats in there or order some new fans. If that doesnt work then I dont know what else to tell you.

Check the temperatures on your CPU... Athlon XP's run little hot if memory serves. Also it could be a problem with your video card.

I took the side cover off yesterday and the ram was hot. I can hear and see the fan working. would dust just cause this problem?

Dust definitely would increase temperatures in your PC.

When dust builds up for a while, it restricts heat flow and causes hotter temperatures in your machine. Also, 256MB of RAM isn't really enough to run Halo. I have a full GB of RAM, and sometimes I still have problems.

And if I remember right, the Radeon 7000 is a pretty sucky card.
