I am using HMT, SparkEdit, Ppf-O-Matic. When I modify the bloodgulch map with added trees and ferns etc. they show on my map, but other players cannot see them online when I goto "create game" "internet" "bloodgulch" "ctf" "start game" How do I make all the items (including added senery) visible to all of the online players? Lu :(

They need the same .map file as you. The best way would be to make a mod and submit to somewhere like HaloFiles.

I think I have found the answer: I have directed my Halo Dedicated Server to use the "Custom Game Types" stored in my C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Games\Halo\savegames\your savegames profile folder. To do this I had to change my C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Server\init.txt file to see the savegames profile. So instead of the init.txt showing: EXAMPLE sv_mapcycle_add bloodgulch ctf sv_mapcycle_add timberland slayer It now shows my custom game type by changing it to: EXAMPLE sv_mapcycle_add bloodgulch "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add timberland "your savegames profile" Where, "your savegames profile" is YOUR own savegames name!!!! And you MUST put "your savedgames profile" in parantheses for it to work properly.

EXAMPLE sv_name Halo_DS sv_public True sv_maxplayers 16 sv_mapcycle_timeout 15 sv_mapcycle_add bloodgulch "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add timberland "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add damnation "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add dangercanyon "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add carousel "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add gephyrophobia "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add infinity "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add beavercreek "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add sidewinder "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add ratrace "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add prisoner "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add hamgemhigh "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add chillout "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add boardingaction "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add wizard "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add putput "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add longest "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add icefields "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_add deathisland "your savegames profile" sv_mapcycle_begin I went to my friends house who does NOT have my modified map and started his Halo and he was able to join my server and see my modified map without any problems.

Well the Cartographer was correct. I'm gonna have to share this .map with everyone so we'll all be on the same page. All that stuff I wrote in my last post didn't work, my friend actually copied my .map so that's why we saw it correctly on line at his house. Coping the . map files from my mods folder to the halo_ds\map folder does not work. Here's a description of my bloodgulch.map: This is my own variation of the Cliff Mod.

Red Team has: 1 Banshee 2 Rocket Warthogs 3 Ghosts 3 Mp Warthogs 3 Scorpions

Blue Team has: 1 Banshee 1 Rocket Warthog 4 Ghosts 3 Mp Warthogs 3 Tanks

2 Rocket Warthogs in neutral territory

Most of the weapons are standard except for: AR has 2x, 8x scope Pistol has 2x, 8x sscope Sniper has 2x, 8x scope and fires sticky grenades

Skybase in the middle of the field, 2 ways up and 2 ways down Cliff access: Red Team area, 1 way up, one way down Blue Team area, 1 way up, one way down

More scenery, trees, ferns, boulders to hide behind.

That just about covers it, very evenly balanced but definitly an advantage for snipers. It'll be on this site as soon as its approved.
