Hi to all! Gents, I've got a problem with the sound of ingame radio chatter in Halo2. It most prolly isn't a hardware issue (sound card) rather the game's fault.

I think about those times in single player when you receive intels/instructions/orders either from Cortana or from the Chieftain of the Bruts via the radio. Their sounds are so distorted, so unguessable, i can only get a few words out clearly...Granted, my 1st lang isn't English, but i normally don't have a problem with realizing words/sentences in games.

I know, even in real life radio cummunication is far from clear, but it's really annoying that i cant get the insturctions out loud and clear...Raising volume doesn't help, since the radio chatter itself remains badly distorted.

Is there any way to clear it out somehow? Or a mod which changes the tone of the sounds during radio communication? Does anybody other have this problem? Or it's just me who have hard times to guess the words?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If we're thinking of the same thing, then you're just hearing transmissions that are deliberately distorted somewhat to make them sound like real radio transmissions.

Yep, we're talking about the same thing i guess. I kinda felt that it's a deliberated distortion to give the player such realistic feeling, tho it makes the infos coming thru radio totally unuseable for most of the times...So there's no way to somehow clear it out? By replacing sound files in the game's directory eg. (if it's not against eula of course)
