Hello guys, name's Hektor, and I'm quite new around here.

I'm kind of hoping that you guys can help me out with a bit of a problem that I've been wrestling with lately...

I love, LOVE to play Halo on the multiplayer mode, and I've become a fairly decent player (not GOOD, mind you, but ok enough).

As of late, I've been seeing these cool vids on the internet of people having a blast on halo teamspeak, and so I decided to see if I could try that stuff out.

So basically, I followed some good advice, and downloaded the Roger Wilco software, and got myself the proper headphones and such.

So it seems that I'm all set...but I still am clueless as to how I'm supposed to find a server that lets you USE teamspeak!

What I'd like to know is...am I supposed to look around for a server that says "teamspeak working here" or something? How exactly does this stuff work?

Thanking you in advance,

Hektor

Firstly, welcome to the forums, I hope you stick around. You seem like a nice guy. As for teamspeak, I don't have it myself, but I believe that you add people. If you have any friends that use it, I suggest you do a small test level with just you two testing out the whole teamspeak thing if you really do have no idea. You can also do something similar in xfire, but that is between two people or in a conversation. That is how some clans do it. In Roger, it looks like you have to create a channel and then others with teamspeak join it. In servers you would either have to set up a new one or ask others if a channel exsits already. If one exists, you join it but if enough people have it, you can set one up. The only way to find out is to ask though.

Hey man :) thanks for welcoming me to your fair site, first of all.

And thanks for trying to give me a hand here, it's much appreciated.

However, I don't think I've quite grasped the meaning of what you've told me...

...you're saying that I should create a halo server, and that the teamspeak option will be there?

No. Teamspeak is an external program that you have open during the time you play. You run it and then you can create chanels for people to talk on and they join it. This is all speculation from websites that I have been reading though.
