Hey, I'm sort of a newbie to Halo. I just got the game last weekend, and I've been playing it a lot. I wanted to turn on cheats so I could do some stuff, but whenever I type in a cheat, it says something about not being able to execute the command? I searched through some of the earlier topics on this forum about this problem but none of the answers seemed to work for me. Obviously somethings not right. What I did: 1. Downloaded and installed Custom Edition. 2. Put the following line in the Target for Halo (not the CE, but the default one) "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -console –devmode 3. Started up Halo, loaded my game, and typed in "cheat_deathless_player 1" into the cheat console. Then I got the error message I stated earlier. So did I miss something, do something wrong, or what?
It could be your console or disc try cleaning of your disc has this happen repeated how many times have you tried this?
What? My disc is fine. And I only tried this a couple of times just this morning.
As far as I am aware, you can only use devmode in CE, not in normal Halo PC. Sorry.
But wait.... the cheats only work on the single player version. Are you saying the cheats don't work at all?
Not for Halo PC at all, no. Only for Custom edition in Single player. Unless you have a devtrainer, in which case it can sort of work over the internet, but not very well.
Yes, but I downloaded Custom Edition from HaloFiles, then I ran it and it doesn't have single player. Or is Custom Edition something else and I'm just completely mixed up? Sorry, I'm really confused.
you can only use halo ce on multiplayer. you can download maps from www.halomaps.org - Halo CE Maps, Halo 2 Vista Maps, Halo Movies files and Utilities Resource and use themin ce. that was the purpose of ce. or on halomaps.org you can download things that allow you to use singleplayer.
