Ok recently our modem screwed up so we got a new one. But this new one, no matter what we have tried, (my friends have tried countless things and have concluded that it has to be the Modem) won't let people into my game. We tried fire wall and stuff, but no success. Is there a way to fix it so my modem will be compatible with Halo? Because I don't think my parents will buy a new modem...

Connecting, yes, but can other players join a game that you host? Usually that doesn't work with wireless connections.

It is not possible (as far as I know) to host a game from a wireless network. The computer who tries to join your server simply tries to connect to the IP of the wireless router you are using as that is essentially your internet IP. When you say you have problems with ping, what do you mean? That could well be the location and connection type of the other server. Give more details please :)

Oh right. And what was the problem with the ping? Was it you had too many people for the connection?

while wireless has its problems, i have always been able to connect to and host games...

the ping thing(you know what it is right, lol), is just that i had a bad connection causing people to lag
