Hello fellow halo gamers. I have a problem with halo. Well i bought the game a good year ago and it worked perfectly fine (well exept for the no color on chars) but it worked fine. 3 months ago i wanted to play again and this is where i started having problems.

My ping jumps from 100 - 250 into 1500 - 2000 for no reason whatsoever. It just does it for no reason that i can think of. I have Ran Spybot, Ad-Aware and AVG several times but no viruses, spam or any mal-ware at all that could be slowing the connection down. I also don't run any other programs while trying to play. I checked this via Task Manager Procceses. Funny thing is though when it saus Checking for updates it gets stuck. If i go out the game (Not quit but Minimize it) and then click on it again it seems to do it. The same thing happened with a game called Gunz Online.

Can anyone help me ? My internet connection is going fine with whatever else i do and also games that run through Steam work fine and all the other MMORPG's i used to have where working perfectly.

Thanks for the help.

Gunz Online does that to me all the time, and I always get the agent error. Try switching servers, or checking your modem. You could try cycling the modem, I use that all the time for xbox live.

check your inbox, I sent you a PM on it. http://www.broadbandreports.com/faq/5323 that pretty much explains it, im not sure if you have to unplug it from your telephone line, 'cus I've never done that, and it always worked.
