As many of you know, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero came with a single player portion entitled "Deleted Scenes." After Counter-Strike: Source came out, I wondered what it'd be like if they did that same concept but in Source.

Well, I've thought about it too long and never got around to even trying it. So I'm here to see if anyone thinks that it'd be a good idea to try, or if I'd be wasting my time.

Either way, I like the idea. So that's what this poll is...an initial "let's see if I should try it" thingy.

*edit* Probably should've said this before...

...the poll will run for 30 days from today, and I should've posted it tomorrow since it's almost Wednesday here...

I have been itching for some CS single player. You know, something other than what you can do with the bots. What I had hoped to see someone make was a mod that replaces all the guns in hl2 with CS ones. Not just skins and sounds, but actual guns. Pretty much it would be playing CSS, but no rounds, just linear like in HL2, and on the maps of HL2 SP, and with HL2 skins. Just to give it a bit of fun. So, since I had been hoping for something like that, I would probably like any CS single player that was done well.

yea that would be cool

but what i really want is Opposing Force and Blue Shift and Condition Zero all in the Source engine and i would pay any thing to get those 3 things (as long as its money nothing else)

Well, there's already a Blue Shift mod on the way, and I'm pretty sure that there's an Opposing Force one, too (as well as Black Mesa:Source )

But this would be deleted scenes. It's a pretty good CS-related action game, in my opinion.

And what I'd do is use the guns from CSS, but probably new models depending on what's needed. I'd take some liberties with the levels...pretty them up and all that, but it'd all be pretty much the same basic level concept. Voices is another story :uhm:

But this is something that I've wanted to do since I played Deleted Scenes and then CSS ^_^

Well, I've decided to go ahead and do the mod. In fact, I already started doing the small editing to some of the basic things (mostly the menu and title...and the Steam menu).

Tomorrow I'll get started on doing the first map (which is training...gotta start somewhere).

:-)

sounds great! i was sad when they didnt release a story for CSS :bawl: while we are on that sorta topic i would really like to see them remake HL1 with the Graphics engine of HL2!!! :naughty: that would be so much less annoying to play! (physics ftw!)

Well, there is Half-Life: Source, the one that VALVe did. It's more of a half-assed attempt at a remake. All it is is slightly higher res textures, the new water shaders, and phsyics (including ragdoll :D).

But if you go to Black Mesa: Source's website, you can see what they're doing to right VALVe's not-so-wrong.
