I will not be making the D-Day mod. The main reason for this is DoD. That is going to be the best WW2 mod out there with Valve backing it. On the plus side I will be making a totaly original pirate mod. Plz help me come up with a name and if you are interested in joining a pirate mod please email or post. Just think 2 gallons fighting while other teamates jump onto the other teams ship and sword fight it out or go in blasting muskets. With the water effects that would be so cool. I'll get to planning nad plz add on this thread anything u think should be in the mod.

Yea, a pirate mod would be cool.

Though check out http://www.pvkii.com/ who are also a mod.

"Half-Life 2 : Pirate Battles" sounds good!

As requested. This is just a first draft but it cover some of the things I want to put in there. Half Life 2 : Pirate Battles Teams ______________________________________________ British: The pride of the royal navy. Hell the pride of any navy. Britains navy is the strongest in the world and their ship pack a punch. What they gain in power they lack in speed however. The British are highly against piracy and the punishment for so is hanging. Pirate: The scourge of the sea. You follow no laws but your own. Steal, kill all in a days work. ______________________________________________ Game Types Steal: Steal is alot like capture the flag except in stead of a flag you steal treasure attacted to the enemy's ship. You steal it and bring it back to your ship. When you hold the treasure you get points. Whoever get the most point wins. Destroy: In this game type your team only has one ship each and your team must battle it out. Whoever destroys the others ship first wins. NOTE: I know that who drives the ship will be a big issue so you will be able to vote to mutiny whoever is driving the ship. When this happens whoever driving the ship dies and someone else is let to drive it. Deathmatch: Typical deathmatch Team Deathmatch: Typical team deathmatch. ______________________________________________ Weapons All firearms have slow reload. Flintlock Pistol Musket Blunderbauss Cutlass Bayonet Grenade Powder Keg bomb Cannon: Can be moved. ______________________________________________ Vehicles Pirate ship British Navy main ship Pirate sloop British navy pirate ship rowboat ______________________________________________ Gameplay Muskets are are acurate but slow loading. Sword fighting will be the height of the mod. Well that and ship fights. I plan to have destructable ships meaning pieces will break off ect. Not all levels will be sea battles. Some will feature land and sea. Sword models will reflect bullets and other swords. I hope to have custamizable pirates meaning you get to pick what your pirate look like when you chose pirates. I also plan to put sharks in each map so if you are in the water you are not alone. Any suggestions? Also xardy what can you do?

sounds good , but add some more teams. like french , dutch , spanish . gametype: capture the treasure: eatch team starts with an ship near an island. the objective is to capture the treasure on the island before the other team does, and bring it back to your ship. You can destroy enemy ships, an enemy ship that is destroyd will respawn after some amount of time. so some people will need to stay with the ship to make sure it isn't destroyd and other people need to take some small boats and go on land. you will need the small boats to bring the treasure back to the ship so those would need guarding to or there would need to stay one boat with the ship so some1 can pick the guy with the treasure up when he gets on the beatch. starting locations of the ships are fixd but best would be that they are both on a different side of the island, at some distance of the island. i can model weapon models and probs, don't think i can do the sailing ships accept if you have a realy good and detaild desing. i can map to. learning website php coding and just made a designdoc website code so you can edit your design doc easy. btw im bussy with my own mod. (no info yet we are building up the design document , storyline and the concept art) so i won't have mutch time for this one but will prob be able to do an model now and then if you have designs for them.

xardy if you are looking for a mod team to join Enter the Tribes is always looking for more, we have been working on this idea since may 2003 and have a preview of our new site up now, cant post link it wont allow it doh =D
