Hi I am a modelling noob who hopes to someday be a good enough modeller. I am trying to make a mod someday and think learning to model would help push me be able to recruit. I already am an experienced skinner who can skin most things but I cannot rips skins lol. If you give me the .bmp then I will skin the hell out of it lol. Anyway I am not trying to recruit yet or anything bu tmay someday :naughty:.(that is a bad ass emote lol) Anyway what I came here asking is where is the best place to start when learning to skin people(zombies mainly). I really want to learn and have the time to. Any help would be appreciated.

First, you need to learn to draw, then learn photoshop, then learn about the way the textures are used in the engine you want to skin for and how to convert them from and into the format the engine uses.

I can draw and I know a lot about Photoshop. I used to be able to skin for HL 1 and released several things for people, custom jobs mainly. I have no problem in the skinning department. I just have problems modelling because as I said befor I have no idea which program is best to use or where to start.
