Ok, I'm trying to build a hallway out of bricks I made using the phys_block thing. What I hope to end up with is a hallway in which any type of explosion causes the entire thing to cave in. (It's for deathmatch) I'm also trying to set it so that the bricks can be pulled out with the gravity gun. Everything's going fine until I attempt to add the roof. Suddenly, whenever you try to pick up a brick, it just reappears where you got it from after a few seconds or after you drop/launch it. The walls are also no longer affected by explosions. I tried placing the roof on top of breakable planks, allowing the roof to fall, but after it falls this glitch pops up again. Could anyone please tell me how to fix this?

So I am assuming that the walls are phys_block? If would help if you had a screenie. Use the print screen function then paste into paint save as a jpeg and host on www.imageshack.us so I can see. I don't profess to be the best mapper but I usually can solve problems.

Well there's not really much to take a screenie of, actually. Basically I have the bricks set up like so: Roof-----v ------------------------------------------------------- .........|............ |............. .|............. | ....| ..........| ...............| ...........| ..............| <----Bricks .........| ............|.............. |............. | (And yes, they are phys_blocks.) So then I use the G-Gun to pull one out, like so: ------------------------------------------------------- .........|........... .|............... |............ | Brick-v ....| ..........|=========| ...........| .............| ......................... .........| ............| ...............| .............| ..................|_______| ==}__|o) G-Gun-^ After a second or two, or when I drop/launch the brick, this happens: ------------------------------------------------------- ..........| ............| ...............| .............| .....| ..........| ..............|.............. |............. | ..........|............ |............... |............. |....................... }__|o) The brick just pops back into place for no apparent reason. Explosions and such don't affect the wall either. Oh, and it should be noted that I only have this problem while the roof is in place.

I think this would only work if the roof had physics too. I haven't used the new hammer in awhile but I think if you could make the roof a phys_block type object it would work.

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that. The roof IS a phys_block object. I'm trying to set it up so that if the wall gets knocked down you get crushed.

those are way to much blocks, the physics engine will freak out. Play garry's mod for a while, you'll see what i mean: put some blocks on each other and they will either get stuck, shake a lot or blast off
