Ok, I figured out that its not my fault. I tried another mod thats was less cumbersome and tried to compile yet again. It failed as well with the same errors, ignore the post above, it was differnt errors.

So I created a new mod. I opened that mod in the Visual C++ program, and immeadiatly tried to compile it. I got the same errors. So my modifications are not causeing the problem. So the question is "what is causing the problem". I think it is the version of the program I am using. metal is using 2003, I have 2005 beta. Also when I open the solution file it tells me I have to convert it. I just need to get an older version of the program. The problem is that the only version for d/l on microsoft's site is the 2005. Hmmmm

Start again and try and exactly follow the setup steps of my tutotial. Its possible you are using an incorrect version of Visual Studio. Make sure is it 'Visual Studio .NET 2003'.

Also Try compliling the solution with no modifications (start a new project/using new mod src). Once it is compiles you should have all the nesaccary folders such as scripts.
