Hi, I've had this idea for about a week now, me and my friend thought up all the ideas, I'll only share some here.
I've been modelling for 2+ years and mapping 3+ years. :D All I need is someone to code the changes, everything visual I can handle.

I really want to see this game be made, I'm tired of seeing zombie games that take place at one time, with an objective of killing some mutated monster. This will be a survival game taking place over the course of multiple days, which will have maps that last days with appropriate lighting and conditions. You will need food to survive, exploring a random designed map every time you play. You will be placed in a random point in the map and need to meet up with others, or go alone. This will be more of a puzzle/survival game, not a game with a boss at the end, this will be a slow, creepy, and hopefully realistic game.

this sounds realy nice... i'v always said there needed to be a mod that was a real life sanerio, :) i hope you plan to put lots af realism. like you wont find an ak-47 in some dude house :) lol but there makeing a mod much like this already. head over to Nomoreroominhell.com that mods comeing out soon and its going to rock!!! they chould use guys like you with your skills :)

No more room in hell does look good, but not exactly what I'm going after. There should be no set objectives like kill a certain number of zombies in a game, something the player should be worried about is finding food. Zombies can kill you, but so can hunger, or not having enough energy from lack of food. I want the ULTIMATE realistic zombie game, the closest you can get to the real thing without it actually happening. No HUD, energy is shown by breathing rate. If HL2 has a text-to-speech implemented, there wont be any text on the screen, the players will "talk" to each other. Players can collaborate by sending groups to get food and bring it back to a safe house, or send a team out to find an exit, the ultimate goal is to find a way out of the city, but the city is large, and random, so nobody knows exactly where it is. I'm not sure if we're even going to give the players guns, or big guns at least, pipes, nail guns, bats, things you'll find in common in real life.

Sounds nice, can we hoard food in an apartment then barricade the doors? Make sure staircases are destructible, because that's what Max Brooks recommends.
You'll be able to put all the food in the safe house, and also when you leave the game (if you went to the safe house), you'll wake up back in there, other wise you'll wake up in a random place again.
My friend who helped me come up with some of these ideas said something about a game where you had a nail gun and could nail boards to the doors to block them, I was thinking of something like that.

We had a hard time coming up with a name, we wanted it serious but good. The best one we came up with was Zombie City, we wanted it simply to show it was part of a city and it had zombies so...thats what we came up with :)
