Well I for one do like the game very much. I will not retouch on alot of points already made by others. But one point that I will stress is yes the two wars were greatly different! Battleships in Vietnam??? I will have to see about that one. For the most part, Vietnam was a ground/air campaign Everything was different so the style of gameplay will be different as well. I for one am enjoying the change of pace :) I am still waiting for a patch from EA on BFV. It does need one to help solve a few issues. But hey if the original poster is that upset with it, then I am sure that the store in which he bought it will refund his money and he can get something that he will be happier with.

You seem to be basing your entire opinion on the fact that there aren't as many tanks/battleships. You do realize that this game is based on the VIETNAM war vs WWII right? Same thinking applies to your gripe about smaller maps. I think the game is great.

yeah, one thing about vietnam was, the troops were mainly on foot.... so, thats probably why there weren't many vehicles... and thats all i can think of now.... i forgot what else i was gonna say...

Its decent. It'll be so much better with patches. I think the levels look spectacular, but more are needed. Also, I have a huge beef with the choppers. Dude, you're only giving me two missles to shoot in a cobra while in pilot? And more missles in total are needed in Hueys and Cobras. But patches will fix all of that. Theres a shitload of minor problems, for instance, when you hear someone Napalm for the first time, it just keeps replaying in the background for the rest of the match. Annoying as hell. Im just pissed with the chopper missles thing. Give me more, faster rate of fire on the Cobra, and the gattlin gun for pilot in Cobra.

Oh yeah and if anyone remembers BF1942 sucked a bit when it first came out without patches and what not. And anyone saying theyre a "WWII war buff" has obviously fallen under the commercially deployed WW2 fad. Look around. Everything is WWII. Games, movies ... hell the History Channel should be renamed the WWII Channel. I, myself, hope they make a Korean War mod for BFV.

"I see. What we got here is a crew sailor." From Platoon. Sorry I had to get it out. I'm that way too :p

Most games that are played online don't reach their peak until patches come out that add more. Look at BF1942 with the addition of new maps, vehicles and weapons. BF:V lacks a lot but that is not entirely DICE's fault. EA puts time limits on certain things and DICE has to rush through. Hell DICE even made a radio transmission on why the flare gun isn't in.

The first couple of patches are minor tweaks and fixes. When you get to the 3rd or 4th patch, that's when they start adding massive content. I mean honestly, can you name an online game that has never been patched? They even patched GTA

ok. my 2 cents. BFV is awesome. first off, its not as good as 42. but its 1.0, and 42 is 1.6? so thats reason 1. next, WWII and vietnam, and korea for that mattter differ greatly in combat stlye. close quarters and infantry is what vietnam is. now, the only thing is carriers. we did deploy a lot from carriers to bomb, or to reinforce. otherwise, there is no major naval action, and large vehicle battles were a minority to my knowledge during this era. as many said you cant compare them now. just wait for a couple patches and a WW2 mod for BFV then compare. u can compare EoD to BFV but not vise versa. and, did road to roam, secret weapons, and the other expansion if any feel like a new game? no, just a well done mod, and this is no different
