I'm an Attack Huey pilot by chance rather than choice. Piloting Huey's wasn't exactly at the top of my list. I don't think I'm that great, but what ever gets us ahead I'll do it.:uhm: The chances of my bird staying airborn or even making it back for ammo and repairs usualy hangs on a good co-pilot. The kind that knows whats he's doing and when he needs to do it. Especialy with enemy jet's around. What realy ticks me off are those that hop into the chopper along side of me and sit there. When I see an enemy jet circling, I level out on a slight bank with the nose following the jet, easy pickings for my co-pilot to use the AC and drop them like a rock. But most just sit there pounding on "GO! GO! GO!" over and over again. Boom, we go down. And most of the time I get cussed out by the dip wad that did nothing when all he had to do was hold the right mouse button for 3 seconds wile I do all the work strafing the bird in a loose circle wile keeping the enemy craft dead ahead. Some times its funny when there are regulars on. When this happends they know full well what happened without even seeing it. Usualy responding to the asshat with "Did you bother to fire at what he was aiming at?" before I can get a word in LOL But damnit if your going to hop into my bird, I damn well expect you to pull your weight or get the hell out. Its an attack platform, not a taxi. See that Huey over there with the doors open and 4 passenger seats? THATS the taxi :fistpunch:

That doesnt happen to me much. All i get is when i get in a Huey gunship, everybody on the whole fucking team wants me to pick them up. I only have room for one person, and the assclown who hops in only wants me to drop him off so he can steal a helicopter at a base occupied by the other team.

So true. When I'm in the Co-Pilot seat, you better believe the guns are going to get a workout.

I've seen folks hop into the gunner seat and never fire a shot... just using it as a taxi... and yes, it's annoying. But, what's worse IMHO is when you see someone run for a helo, hop in, and take off without ANY passengers. No gunner in your gunship? No troops or gunner in your Chinook? I hate it. I know that's been dragged around since day one, but really people... will it kill you to wait a second or two for someone else? Now, to be fair, EA really should have kept the "Jump in!" voice command as was in BF1942. Also, if the base is under heavy fire by air, then sure... get that puppy in the air, but remember that there are people that need to be lifted out of there.

It's all about the teamwork, rememeber?

I would like to extend this issue to the other annoying fact with choppers. I love to fly and I belive that a good pilot teamed with a good gunner can be one of the deadliest forces the game has. It is very frustrating when I jump in the chopper and start getting her up to speed while a team mate runs towards me and then gets into the pilots seat of the chopper next to me and flies off. 1 chopper with two poeple is much deadier that two choppers with only a pilot in each. I know I prefer to pilot than be a gunner but I would rather be a gunner and kick ass than be a lone pilot and get shot down by a plane that I have no way of hitting with only air to ground missiles.

Thats my fisrt rant and it felt good. :D

Damn, that is hilarious (and annoying.). I'm new to the game so I'm still trying to figure out the mechanics, but when I jump in any vehicles, I poppin hot ones down to the other end. I don't pilot since my skills are weak. I also can't stand it when cats jump in a bird and fly off with out picking people up just to fly above the enmies base and jump out and pop open their chute and "infiltrate" in.

Yup I agree with all of you. You should do all:

As a pilot: wait for you teamates......thats why they are teamates and wait for your gunner....or gunners as in a huey transport

As a co-pilot: tell your pilot when you need to reload....your nothing without bullets let him know when you have spotted people.....using the F: buttuns sometimes try to take an engineer with you for repairs in the field

if the flag is almost taken over and you see that you are needed on the ground...Paracute and take the flag.....hopfully the pilot can pick you back up......like in the case he is in a heli fight and attention in placed on him....not you taking the flag
