I was tooling around on the BFVFiles site and I found these under "Requirements" - Recommended for optimum performance: 2.0 Ghz CPU Directx 9.0b Geforce 4 128 MB (Not MX) or equivalent DirectX9 compatible videocard 512 Megabytes of RAM 2 GB free hard drive space (additional space required for Windows swap-file and DirectX 9.0b installation) 16x CD-ROM drive Directx 9.0b Compatible Sound Card MS compatible mouse Keyboard

Optimum Performance eh? Then why does it still run like crap?:furious: Here's my specs: 2.4 Ghz CPU Geforce 4 128 MB Ti4200 1GB of RAM 5 GB free hard drive space 16x DVD-ROM drive

The only thing I'm probably lacking in is the sound card. I still have that stupid SBLive Value. Maybe I'll look into an Audigy... right now... Anyway, I'm guessing that the next patch (or two, or three) will contain some optimization tweaks for the game to run a little smoother.

I don't spend enough time here

yes, while the sound is good in this game, it also has an affect on almost all of the problems ppl have with this game (crashing, stuttering). i have a built in sound chip (i know, i know), and yet after downloading drivers and tweaking with a file in the vietnam directory (a trick i saw somewhere), it did the trick, and now my game barely ever stutters and hasn't crashed yet.
