Heat seekers should have a lock-on time (like 3 seconds) and the guy that is being targeted should also start to get a sound-warning when somebody is starting to lock on him .... after 3 seconds , if you get a lock on your target , you should get a sure 100% precise hit .... of course in those 3 seconds he has plenty of time to think how to escape .... lol

AGREED! also UPDATE on my SA-7 useage: I am better with it now...look out
Just a small hint on the SA-7's, let the plane pass over head and aim at tail and FIRE! dont shoot at a plane coming in head on, the missle will likely miss (95% of the time). As for the choppers each situation is different, choppers are much easier to shoot down if you have 5-10 missles, LOL
I wouldn't say they will miss 95% of the time at all head on. Maybe 40%, at least in my experience. I have no problems shooting F4's down that are coming straight at me in the hanger ;)
Ya I have no problems shooting head on if the plane keeps on coming. Its almost better because you get to see the destruction and it is one shot kill!!
BeeF FlaPsYeah, about the SA-7... I SUCK with it!!! :( I can;t hit anything with it unless it's right above me hovering? But, I get shot down from those things from nowhere!! I guess I need to practice with that thing.
yeah, its hard, but try and shoot the huey when its moving away from you. It nearly always works!Thats how the NVA really use theirs.
Yeah, dont hate on getting kills with the SA-7. I get a lot more kills when I'm on the other end, flying the helo.
I think the toughest thing to hit with the SA-7 is the Phantom. I usually can't score a hit on it unless I launch a rocket at the exact time the Phantom passes over my head, and even still it has to track the jet for a second or two.
I think the US needs better anti-air. A more portable solution would be great. The Quad-50 is nice but very immobile, and the TOW launchers on Jeeps are just not all that easy to reposition when the need comes up.
Yes it would be nice if there was a key to hit that changed you target designator from one target to the next to avoid Tking friendly air targets. But until then, quit your @$#%whining and just be careful.
I've tried so many methods of firing that damned SA-7 and I completely suck with them. I've tried waiting until the target is flying away... waiting until they get close... waiting for a dead on approach (which usually leads to me dying)... etc. I just suck with them.
