I'm hoping they will have independent control systems for the jet planes and the choppers in BFV. They fly completely different. Growing up on chopper sims, I was completely befuddled by the control system in the Eve of Destruction mod. In theory, for a joystick user (such as me), the "throttle" should control the collective (rotor speed, could be loosely interpreted as the up and down control), and the stick should control the pitch...forward to pitch the nose down to go forward, backwards for viceversa, and right-left would be the standard turning. The rudder controls should be the tail-rotor speed adjust for yawing (I think I am using the right terminology but I may not be). I really hope they get the choppers right in this one...accurately. The idea of parachuting from a chopper, though, is a bit silly. I understand why they are doing it (for gameplay) but its kind of ridiculous. No big deal though...accurate, independent controls, and I'll be a happy camper.

There will be separate control systems. With the choppers you can hover for as long as you like, you can strafe sideways and move backwards. Basically jets will fly like jets and choppers will fly like choppers.

As for parachuting from choppers it's not exactly the most common practice from Hueys but the Ruskies liked jumping out of Hinds so maybe they passed on that practice to the Vietnamese :D

I'm just hoping that the physics for the choppers are quite simular to DC's, because if they are.... :D

*gives DC2002 a slap*

DCs copter physics SUCKS! Unrealistic as hell. IF BF:V had DCs chopper system i wouldnt even buy it, thank God i know that they're gonna use a system simular to EoDs.

Can't wait until the 18th !!!

Heh Spidey you're the man. Anyone who touches Spidey we'll get back to him as soon as possible. Lol

EOD physics suck real bad, the helicopter floats, at least you can steer in the right way in DC, and my dad is a heli pilot, so I wouldn't argue about it. :)

It shouldn't be too hard to do it right...especially for a major, well-funded project by a commercial company like this. All I can say is, perhaps I didn't have it set up right, but EoD was ALL screwed up for me. Did not feel remotely like any of the chopper sims I'd played before. Hehe, I was a big "Comanche" fan. I'm still waiting for Novalogic to somehow integrate Comanche, Armored Fist, and Delta Force into a BF-like product.

Hey, EoD has the best chopper system of all BF42 mods. If you release the throttle in DC your copter drops like a stone, and i doubt thats realistic...
