first of all one day, normal day, i wanted to play half-life 2. all of a sudden i get an error "The instruction at "0x0127cc80" reference memory "0x0127cc80". The memory could not be read". now everytime i run half-life 2, half-life 2 deathmatch, counter-strike source , or any mods for half-life 2 i get that error. i've reinstalled half-life 2, updated my driver, and validated half-life 2. it still didnt work. can someone please respond and tell me the solution?

This will happen very commonly on most games from now on. I'm suffering it right now, but I'm not complaining. Probably if you send some logfiles with errors to Valve or the makers of mods that you played, they might find the solution. Yes, this has happened to me before, but only with modded version of HL2 (Like Hidden: Source), rather then HL2 SP. It usually fixes itself on it's own, as it doesn't happen all the time for me.
nvm i fixed it, thanks anyways
I didn't make it!
How did you fix it? My game gets a memory message sometimes when i start up steam and also freezes during counter strike source. Can any one help?
look at another thread called "hl2 wont run" then scroll down to the third to the last, i dont know if it will work for you because my error only occurred when i start hl2, i think its kinda a different error
