So today I was playing around in Half-Life 2, and I get to the part where I am at the big bridge. Now, the memory read error is common for me, and everything I try doesn't fix it. However, I found a way to delay it. For those interested, when the memory problem occurs, click Ok on the box to terminate the program, them restart Windows. Once restarted, sign in to your Windows profile. Steam might be a start-up program, so then you sign into that. If not, sign into it anyways. Then once you do, restart your computer again. I found this to help, and it makes the memory read error to show up after 2 hours instead of 2 minutes of in-game play (boy I wish there was a fix for this problem!).
Anyways, after my 2 hour valid memory-error-free ticket expired, I of course, got the error again. But this time, after I terminated the program, there was another box that showed up when I returned to the desktop. Look at the screenshot below for details.
Maybe this whole error points back to a fault in Steam? Who knows?
