The title says it all.... WTF was valve thinking with that idea... and can it be fixed?
Problem solved i think :)
Ok now i got front and center working, when sounds *should* be plaing out the back speakers I hear the same sounds muffled from the front 2. Im using the Realtek AC97 onboard sound I just got the drivers that were supposed to fix it all..
Try snd_digitalsurround 1
Thanks one problem solved many more have become apparent...
My front and back speakers are wrongly swapped, so my front speakers play sound behind me and vica-versa.
My back right speaker does nothing.
Im not 100% sure but maybe my center speaker is being mistaken as the back right one, but playing sounds in front of my (like it should, but shouldn't during the swap?)
Yeah gj on the forum screw up...
I still have the problem mentioned lastly, as I said before (before the screw up) I have Realtek AC97 onboard sound, I have the latest software, and yes all speakers work correctly in windows.
