Hi, I'm really new to gaming and computers in general. I'm 63 and was a welder until I fell and broke my neck last year. My kids bought me a computer and the video game Half Life 2 which had 4 games in the set. I don't know the first thing about forums, but was told that I could get help with the game and other game related things. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, paulieboy23

Thanks, Like I said in my intro, I don't really know anything about this, but with a little help I'll catch on. Thanks again. pb23
Can anyone tell me how to read if I have any posts? I see that six or seven people have written to me, but when I click on their names, all I get is their profile. I know I'm doing something wrong!

With " six or seven people have written to me" you mean the number shown in the "replies" table not? That are replies made in this topic.
Each forum shows a topic (also called "thread) with author name, the last person to post/reply there, the number of replies and how many people viewed the topic/thread. Your tread currently has 7 (with this reply that's 8) replies and you can all read them here.
In your User Control Panel you can see the threads you are subsribe to: http://forums.filefront.com/usercp.php. This is were you can set all kinds of options such as your birthdate, contact information, some small info about yourself and also check private messages you received (they are a bit like emails).
To keep things simple it's best to read the FAQ ( "Frequently Asked Questions") section found here: http://forums.filefront.com/faq.php.
Then stick to one or two forums on here such as the Half Life series forum ( http://forums.filefront.com/forumdisplay.php?f=520 ) and post there. When you are using the forums for some time everything will eventually be logical and a second nature to you.
Have fun with gaming and these forums!
