For many years, I have been an avid gamer! However, during the past 3-4 years the habit has dwindled. In fact so much that I have been using a mediocre laptop simply for using the Internet and Office duties. That's all very well, if I want some fun I can go out to the pub and socialise...
BUT we all know that isn't enough don't we?! So 3-4 years after I even saw a crosshair in the centre of my screen, or went on a headshot rampage I have finally purchased a new desktop computer.
Back in the day budget restrained me to AMD processors, but this time I have gone the whole hog, and gone for the 'beefed-up' 64bit Intel Dual Core processor, along with 2GB RAM and a decent graphics card!
The next step was googling the term, 'gaming forum'...
So here I am. Hello :)
From here, may I pose the question: What do you recommend? Here is a list of some of the games I played back in the day:
Duke Nukem 3D Doom Quake 2 BattleField 1942 Carmageddon 1 & 2 Counterstrike 1.3 Grand Prix Legends <-- best game ever...! Colin McRae Fifa 2000 Dark Age of Camelot
I hope that gives a little insight into the games that I enjoy.. And more so, I hope you gaming addicts will be able to assist in helping me play some excellent games!
I also have a steering wheel and pedals if that helps!
Hey, welcome to the forums! Read the FAQ, blahblahblah... as for which game I would recommend, I'm not too sure... I actually don't game all too much myself. Anyways, you might as well repost your question in general gaming ;) Have fun!
Welcome to the forums my friend, after looking down your list i would like to recomend some games: Battlefield 2 F.E.A.R Colin McRae dirt(if your pc can handle it im sure it can:)) Half life 2 Counter Strike source. Enjoy your time here.
Hello and welcome to FF. You played CS 1.3, damn. You're old school my man!
Excellent. Thanks for the replies. I will endeavour to give some of those games a shot and see what I think! In fact, I pre-ordered Half Life 2, and had to sell it when it arrived - as I had already sold my beast of a machine!
Hello! Welcome to the forums!
