In your opinion, what is the best map for Jedi Academy. It can be one of the default maps or a user-created one. You may pick more than one.
I couldn't really care for created maps, but I would say the best default map atleast for me is Taspir (FFA5).
Hehe yep.. I like Tesapir too! But my all time fave is JO Bespin Streets. The JA converstion is just too dark.. donno why.. 0.o
I like the ones you don't see very often on the servers; Kor1 - 2nd to last lvl, fairly big - lot of memory to run though T1_Fatal - decent size, lots of places to duck and cover mp/ffa2 - what can i say, this map just rocks T1_surprise - jawa killing is fun for the whole family T2_wedge - good level to grip dangle someone over a 10 mile drop, but often glitchy as a server map T3_stamp - everyone loves the dreaded mutant rancor T1_Rail - a good map for a push&grip fight - often glitchy and unstable as a server map Custom maps - I always liked Blueice_twilight and sithcouncilv2 - they are quality maps and are among the most frequently hosted custom maps
academy3 - Nice place for a little FFA.
mp/ffa5 - One of my favorites, if only because I can stand right at the lava and not get hurt. Plus that fun lava glitch.
t2_trip - If only because of the "drift racing around the metal thing jutting out of the ground right from where you spawn!" factor when you spawn a couple of swoops.
zion - Hide and seek... Or hunt and seek. That and I like the calm music.
My favorite maps, hmm, since I consider myself a refresh ctf gunner, I'm sure the bias will show:
http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/CTF_Empires;38108x#536580 This is a map by Zod aka EmperorZod, quite honestly, I would have to say this is my favorite all time map. The amount of fc routes, weapon placement, the abilty to use items such as wall shield (not sure whats it called), etc etc, the list of goodies goes on and on. The defining feature, though, would have to be the playability of this map, the eye candy is amazing yet the map is able to maintain a high fps (frame per second) that ctf players are looking for and demand. This map was made for the hardcore ctf players, i.e. what is now the remnants of the refresh/chopshop community, and in its construction the advice of such players was heeded. Kneel Before Zod.
http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Coruscant_Streets_II;44750 This map is a contintuation of ctf4. Nice variant of ctf4. Kudos to Cooks.
http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Bespin_Streets;44550 Made by Ion, this is another ctf map that was made with the aforementioned community in mind. Nice map structure, multiple routes etc. Great fun to play, especially in a non pugging enviroment.
Taspir - by Trictoch (actually most of his maps) A large ctf map made that is extremely fun to play on a public server with a large number of people. Some of my most enjoyable moments playing this game were on this map at Ami's Chopshop
Vertigo (ffa map)- another map made by Cuko, this map was requested by Honey Bunches of Oats as a training map to help improve a players aim with guns. This map has a button in which splash damage can be enable or disabled, thus when disabled only a direct body hit would register. We used to play Wolf on this map, where the one player would be hunted by everyone else, with the goal of staying alive as long as possible (to help become a better fc). The wolf was allowed pick up a gun and fight back. Another variation was Rabbit, where the lone person just strafed for his/her life, and was not allowed to pick up any guns.
I know I'm missing some but.. if you try these maps out, please do not dumb down the maps and disable guns or force. The creators put alot of thought into weapon location/usage and force usage when designing these maps, play them the way they were intended to be played.
You can state Jedi Outcast maps as long as there is a version for Jedi Academy, it is compatible with Jedi Academy, or there is a patch for it for Jedi Academy.

As much as I agree with that, you do realize that most of the people who read this will just ignore that entirely right?
I like T2 trip alot, but as for downloaded maps, my favourite would probably be BDC racing club or Sithcouncil V2.
Christmas in Whoville final !!!!
