okay, personally, i think it shows just how low a clan will go for members. so they register a name, then make a long post, and you look at their post count... "this user has made 1 post.". then you post, and kinda hope they will look back, or even reply acknowledging you exist, or even posted. i think if clans are going to advertise, they should post in the topics they start, not just put an ad up, and leave it to do the work. it shows a few things im gonna bother to list, just coz im tired of lazy clan advertisers. 1.) lack of interest in the people who read these things. 2.) your just after a member count, you could relle care less whos who, unless you actually talk to them in game, your main focus is still just saying 'oh i recruited him/her'. 3.) your only reason for registering on filefront gaming forums is to post that 1 topic, then you ither forget your login info and are to lazy to reclaim it, or you just really dont care to read replies, and just make one post. --------- i dunno if this bugs anyone else, but it burns me up, showing just how un-interested people are in their clan members/possible recruits...

its like their leaders say this ' we need to get as many people in our clan as we can.' then the guy goes ' oh, we can post on filefront', leader then says ' do it', then the guy registers, makes a long post, and its never read by that clan again. if a clan honestly wants members, ACT like it. i make it my personal goal to visit each new clanpost, post constructive advicce in each post, then visit their site, give them tips/pointers... its wot i do, in my bored time... ( dont beleive me? read most of the clan posts on page 1, lol...)

I think the best thing to do is to not post at all. Seriously, if you want people to join your clan, you need a reputation. So get one. By (a)Server surfing (don't forget your board. :p), or (b)forum surfing (go onto other clan's forums). The biggest thing to do is to get members out on other servers and not recruit, but just get a good reputation.

see theirs a problem out of that, then you have a bad rep for quote 'stealing' recruits from that clan, then they bot your server, call u a noob, and attempt to steal your members, blah blah blah, same stuff different day, lol...

I have a question.

If you think their threads suck, why do you insist on spamming and bumping them?

And, y'know, if it gets to you that much, you could just ignore them. It's not that hard, when you think about it. I've been ignoring clans for years, and my gaming experiences are much better for not associating with them at all.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

meh, there arent many servers that arent clan based that are fun to be on, usually random nonclan servers are a buncha whiny noobs who lame... clans offer gaming security, in the scence that youll have a 24.7 server with rules established.

EDIT: in the end, i decided to just host a server every day for local friends, so i game there now...

Yeah that's just about typical. Call the people who play the game with out following honor 'noobs'. If anything some of these 'noobs' are the players that can decimate majority of these clans easily.

point me in the direction of one decent server, any gametype, and ill check it out, most i get, i dont like, coz of language and lack of control by server owner, or the server owners the worst of the bunch... even some clans are like that...

Mj7 is a good server providing people actually join it, however we are competitive and we FFA. If you stop and talk you're a free frag usually.

By the way, I know some clans are like that, the average JA+ clan basically is.
