Best space battle ever. I don't really know about basejka classes, but I am good at desigining mb2 FA classes. Anyway... 4 star destroyers and 5 rebel ships (THose weird grey blob things, blockade runners) and the Second Death Star. All ships have an external func_breakable layer, that, when destroyed, destroys the entire ship, and rebels no longer spawn there. Map length: 20 minutes Every 4 minutes, the Death Star fires a blast toward one of the Rebel ships, destroying it. The imperials can destroy the ship beforehand, and if they do, the blast will just wander aimlessly through space(Or maybe hit a star destroyer?) The rebels have to destroy al the star destroyers, then fly inside the Death star and destroy its insides. All ships and the death star have spawn points, so if the rebels destroy all the Star Destroyers the Imperials all spawn in the Death Star. The Imperials have to stay alive and repel the attack, or destroy all the rebel ships. The Death Star will destroy the last ship at the 20 minute mark, so basically they will anyway lol. all ships and the star destroyer will have turbolaser defenses that can be turned off if an enemy gets inside and destroys the power source.(Kinda like bf2, huh?) They can also be destroyed from the outside. It is assumed that the Battle of Endor is going on on the moon below. When all the star destroyers are destroyed, the forcefield for the death star will be disabled.(I know its not like the movie but it makes it harder). Any suggestions? Possible/not possible?

The grid in GtkRadiant isn't big enough to support anything on that scale, and that's before I even touch on the gameplay ramifications of the project.

Might be worth a try in Unreal Engine 2 or Unreal Engine 3 (when available), they can support some very big maps.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

idk if this realy is possible but wouldnt this thread be in the modding and edditing forum? btw its realy a cool idiea itl be great if it actually got made! :) i like ship maps alot what ships did you have in mind to be on the map?

oh right i didnt say lol. Since this map is clearly in favor of the imps, the rebels get one falcon, y-wings, x-wings, a-wings, and b-wings. The Empire gets TIEs, Bombers, Interceptors, and advanced. And this map should be about the size of BOC. It's not gonna be as huge as u think.

If you want a Death Star, four Star Destroyers and five Mon Calamari cruisers, all with explorable interiors and an accurate structure, it's gonna have to be as big as I'm imagining it for it to work out...


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Not fully explorable... if it was fully explorable and to scale than a full sized jka map could only hold maybe 3 star destroyers. It wont be a full death star, the death star will be on the edge of the map, you can't see the full thing, and getting into the interior of it is supposed to be hard, so yall know, just like in the movies.
