Hi there, I have made a jedi academy film using the record program "fraps" and the program "windows movie maker"
I liked Windows movie maker as a program to put all the clips together to one movie, but I don't like fraps at all. When I use Fraps (v 2 91 I think), I can only record for 30 seconds, then I need to press this hotkey again to record another 30 sec. To make things worse, I cannot even see when this time of 30 sec runs out which results in very bad cuting.
So my question to you: Is there any better program (for free) than Fraps which can record nice and smoothly without any 30 sec recording time??
I would be very grateful for answers
Open fraps, press FPS and make sure you have an overlay corner set and that its not disabled. when you start recording it will turn red and when its done it will be yellow. be sure you pay attention to it. the full version is not for thirty seconds you can make it as long as you want. just press it to stop recording at any time.

Sorry, I already knew all that. But if the overlay corner can show "seconds left" of the recording instead of "framerate", that would be a big help. Thanks for your help and quick reply :)
