Well, you know I'm gonna advise hiriing one, since servers hosted from home computers aren't as good performance wise, but anyway...

_Si_

Open JKA

Play

Create server

Make it dedicated

Click any other options you want on

Click start

This will bring up the console

Open the internet

go to http://www.whatismyip.com/

Get your IP

Go back on JKA (Dont close the console)

Open the console INGAME

type /connect YOURIPHERE (replace youriphere with your ip e.g./connect 55.555.555.55)

I think theres other ways to do it but thats what most people use.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I wrote a detailed tutorial available at http://www.chopshopservers.com/education/

Click on the link "Running a Server from Home".

If you have a good broadband (DSL or cable) you can host up to 8 players connecting over the Internet, plus yourself. Since only a small percentage of Jedi Academy servers have more than 8 players on at a time, a free home-based server should work just fine.
