I'v got this alot for using staff. Before they even duel me they say i'm a noob cause i use staff and spam. Now i don't spam at all unlike 99% of staffers out there who just swing randomly hoping to hit something. But what i want to know is you guys judge staff users as noob's before u even play them? Cause i find alot of people do i would like to see you guys impot on this

I did the third option, cause the majority of staffers just spam stuff like BF nonstop.

But some staffers do have alot of skill.

Also dual wielders normally mean noobs, but dual wielding can actually be one of the best if in a pro's hands :)

You fail at gaming.

People whine about staff and duals being imbalanced, but who's fault is it that they're imbalanced? Yours.

If you don't like them being imbalanced, then do one of the following:

1. Learn to avoid being hit by them. 2. Don't use JA+, the mod which does most of the unbalancing. Use either baseJKA, JAE, or ClanMod, all of which use baseJKA damages, hit detection, and damage application. Then, you kill two problems at once - the game won't be completely newbified, and you won't have imbalanced sabers.

See? Simple, isn't it? Think before you whine, and people won't bash you as much

Or you can be a smart sever admin and modify the JA+ server settings to put damages back to Base JKA and then you still have all the benifits you get with JA+ Now JA+ isnt perfect by any means and I dont get why it modifies some of the settings it does.. Leave stuff default I say and let server admins modify to their likeing.

You can't put the JA+ damages back to baseJKA. That's the point. The source code has been modified, changing the way the game detects hits and the way it applies damage. JA+ combat is almost entirely based on blind luck, or exploits.

Those numbers you mention only change HP damage values. They can't possibly compensate for the adjustments to damage application.

I'm curious as to what these 'benefits' are.

Admin system? Other mods have an admin system that's just as effective.

Grapple and jetpack? Grapple has no use in actual gameplay, and Lugormod's jetpack is better than the JA+ version.

AltDim? I'll concede to that point, it's a good feature. Just a shame no one ever uses it, and when they do, they don't know how to use it properly.

Customisation? Most of the useful commands are actually baseJKA commands, and therefore can be used in any mod. The JA+-exclusive commands are mostly just little tidbits.

Hell, if the 'benefits' of the JA+ features are so important, you may as well get JAE, grab the source code, and add them to that (making sure to steer clear of even touching the combat coding, of course).

You can't exactly do that. Slider coded the combat differently and screwed the hit detection also thus leading to people exploiting the same move over and over again. If you want things to be unbalanced use a mod that doesn't noob everything up.

Kouen basically summed it all up.

Erm yeah I definetely made a typo in my previous post. The sentence "If you want things to be unbalanced use a mod that doesn't noob everything up" it's suppose to be "balanced" not "unbalanced" lmao

Then edit your post and change it. > : )

I don't care if im dueling a staffer, or a dual-user. End of the day, a game with more customization comes with better overall gameplay. Take Jk2, you couldn't use Staff and Dual then. But seeing as Jk3 introduced this, it gave other members different availabilities rather than just a single saber. As 'Nooby' as you want to define a weapon, if it kicks your ass, you only have yourself to blame. And they only routine to stop getting 'spammed' ? Get Better.
