Man do I have the strangest problem with online playing... U see... 2 days ago my JA decided to STOP detecting ANY servers. When I choose "Get New List" it locks up for about 30 seconds (trying to initialize my connection me thinks) and then... nothing. "Getting server info" keeps on glowing forever. So yesterday I decided to try and reinstall the game. And guess what! IT WORKED. But today I have the same prob. Some Sith must've entered my PC and screwed it up :assimilate:. Tha bad thing is, that reinstalling didn't help this time. Now I know that the odds of someone having an answer for this one are... next to none. But any ideas might help :silly: .

I had that problem for a while. the server detection system that JA uses is flawed. I recommend downloading The All-Seeing Eye. It is a SDS that works a lot better than the one JA uses. You can get it here.

ASE is the best way to go for newcomers. Gamespy 3D (NOT Gamespy Arcade - screw GSA, it's hella lame) is the best browser out there by far because you can make unlimited amounts of custom filters. With these filters you can filter out servers by ANY variable set by the server making it completely configurable.

1 big problem with JA is GS3D does not get the majority of the JA servers but there are some servers that only GS3D can get that ASE does not, so I export the ASE list to GS3D & use that. Of course, I'm an old pro when it comes to 3D gaming & it would probably just be alot easier for you to use just ASE.
