I like Old School.. I play on that when my friends bring their laptops round and we play on a network using my BTHomeHub.

MB2 is the worst mod I have played so many people say it owns if you want a good mod try xzmods SoTS.

I've said it once, I have said it twice. I am sure I have said it over 5 times, DOA mod is one of the most fun mods, with bots, and a rather large duel while playing on FFA. :D

MoveBattles is good, but it has lots of bugs, especially model deformations.

In case anyone wanted the update... MovieBattles updated a new patch today that largely fixes gameplay issues that were present. Great, great fun if you like siege based gameplay. Also, MB now has a Duel mode that is great if you're into dueling. Each duel is based off Movie-type events set in real locations w/ each of the characters having powers & abilities as seen in the movie. Check it out if you haven't yet.

The newest MBII patch blows.

I've uplaoded MBII17_01 to my server and one of my members has gone and upgraded some of the models and efx. The old MBII was the good MBII.

This is NOT a solicitation. I am just placing an offer on the table for those who enjoy retro MBII =P

I've got the server side client and the efx upgrades for those who wish to use them.

Also... Xmod would have been great if the author had completed it with the features it CURRENTLY contains, none of this extra flashy shinny shit these other 'modders' are putting out. Xmod > all for Siege and CTF then.

JA+ peaked, in my opinion, at 2.3beta. (yeah for headshots with a saber ='ing death.) (ledge grab = off) (custom hilts/etc.. = off)

2.3 full had some weird efx

2.4beta had shit damages and useless, for the most part, features.

lugormod, meh, it's ok, could use some free fabricated maps and quests (if it has some, again, let me know)

clanmod got slightly better

makermod, I have one of the only linux server files for it, but the mod itself is unstable. Fire = lag, and there is limited amounts of building that can be done.

Makermod has a limit of 700 objects. That is a lot. Not really a problem unless you don't know how to build correctly.

I know many people think JA is dying, but I doubt it. Has anyone ever taken a look at Bridge Commander? It's a Star Trek space simulator that's older than JA but has continued strong for a very, very long time. Mods are STILL coming out and still being proposed. A huge one was recently released in fact. JA is probably the last FPS from Lucas Arts - they are morons who don't know their own market. I doubt it will die so easily.

I am releasing all of my unpublished maps. I've uploaded three so far, but the mods haven't put em up yet. I'm patient ;) I'm going to be uploading two, maybe three more very soon. I hope my maps generate SOME interest.

They should be going up in the next day or so, hopefully. We're not as behind as we seem, but I'm trying to avoid your maps so someone who knows what they're talking about reviews them. :p
