I am Canadian too, and french Canadian, on top of it.

The reference to Canadian being lumberjack is the same as us, from Quebec, being English people. When I talk french, people ask if I'M from France or some where near there... But I tell them I'm from Canada "Oh, you've been to french-immertion schools"

Heck NO! French is my frist language... darn :S they get general stuff for facts... that's what I meant... As for the 'you lost point with me' is probably about the way you sounded or something like that... so I would agree with you partially instead of totaly... Like there is good admins, but also ALOT of bad admins... Hope it clarifies...

well, i've been an admin for a long time... it's true i hated lamers... but in time, the only thing i cared about was showing respect to other ppl, and let them have a good time on the server. Also, this is why my old clan got huge. As an admin, i also did some bad things(like kick ppl i didn't like and stuff) but when i was at the serv. All these ppl were having fun with ffa, with weapons. Whilst some other admins did not really like that, because it was against the "strict rules" while the thing i wanted was ppl to have a good time, which had success(while at the start, i also used to be very strict in rules and stuff... but that changes in time)

Thanks for clearing that up, Axem, I speak French as well, although I did learn through French Immersion lol. I know what you mean, people always make fun of Canadians; as a matter of fact, (not to be negative to Americans), usually Americans make fun of just about anyone who isn't American. I used to play Planetside and SW Galaxies at my friend's house, there was an Australian guy in his clan, and everyone made fun of him; untill he wasted them, then they shut up. I doesn't make sense to me, who cares where you live?

please- excuse me, this is my first post in this forum. when I read your post, I reacted at an instinctive level, as i'm sure most people did. you're right, we've all had our bad experiences with ill mannered, irritating people, and not just in the gaming world...it seems they're everywhere. many hours later, it was still on my mind. i like to take my time and puzzle things out. it occured to me that the problem has many facets- some obvious, others not so. the first thing that came to me, was to get into character a bit- think about how silly this all would sound in real life- "Master Yoda, those freakin' Sith did it again!" "What did they, Padawan?" "They force pulled me and then kicked me in the face!!" "AHH." "Well, what are you going to do about it?" "What indeed." it is obvious that some individuals- regardless of race, color, creed- are not hindered by the constraints of social, moral, or spiritual ethics, and no amount of cajoling, hand slapping, or browbeating will make them WANT to. I suspect the first step to really helping others is to examine ourselves. when we have purged ourselves of all those negatives, then we will be able to help others....and, if we have something to offer- if the light side is truly better- then i suspect that the most effective way to make "converts" is one-on-one interaction. that might look like this: 1)go to the places where they are 2) invite them to chat or 3) invite them to another server (with no force or weapons) to fight 4) speak honestly but gently about the error of their ways, and about the benefits of being good. 5) if you win him/ her with your irresistable logic, then you move on to the next one. 6) if not- most importantly- if not, then you, as the more highly evolved, enlightened, educated life form, demonstrate the character, and principles that qualify you to be described as such. one of the key points is that this is NOT a jedi mind trick. it requires a depth of character and life skills that cannot be disputed. if you've got the goods...why are you complaining as if someone could wave a magic wand and fix it all? don't sweat it! relax! PLEASE- don't misunderstand; I'm not trying to be disrespectful! now, this is not all- it is just what is coming to me right now- it is my current state of understanding. let's just remember that without love, compassion is worthless, and without compassion, criticism is pointless. without love, we are just playing games -is this just a game? i now leave to let others speak. thank you for your indulgence. -Sunshine

it is only a game, yes, conceded. BUT (note the BIG but there) ppl wish to enjoy the game, and if some **** comes along (especially in duel) and lames (running away, spamming, binds, etc) it is detremental to my enjoyment of the game.

yes, admins lame too these days, and in ffa there should be no such thing (hence the name...) but i want a fair fight, 'mano a mano', my skills versus yours, etc. which is ruined by (usually sub adult) players who just want to piss ppl off

a VERY old argument which will run for years in various games under various guises, but basically, play the game or **** off. end of
